Over the last year, Stamford has undertaken a number of major changes and improvements to our system of collecting and disposing of solid waste and recycling.  Some of these changes were driven by budget reductions that took effect in July 2007.  But since then we have continued to make changes in order to improve services, increase recycling rates, and continue to save taxpayer money. 

I thought it would be helpful to review the list of changes we have made, and some of the additional changes that are being planned or are scheduled to be implemented soon.
