Call the Senior Center to schedule at 977-5151. Here's what you need to know: To apply for a passport, applicants need to bring an original copy of their birth certificate (with a raised seal) and proof of identity (i.e. driver’s license). Children under 14 require that both parents be present and need a long form birth certificate. Postal staff will have a camera available for passport photos for an additional $15. Passport fees are $67 ($52 for children under 16), made payable to the Department of State, and $30, made payable to the U.S. Postal Service. Only cash or checks can be accepted. Processing takes about 6 to 8 weeks and there will be expedited mailing services available if needed. This is a convenient opportunity to obtain a passport, which will be valid for 10 years (or 5 years if under age 16). Any questions, please call the Stamford Post Office at (203) 321-3915 or (203) 321-3910. |
