STAMFORD RECREATION SERVICES

OFFERS BIRTHDAY PARTIES

“Happy Birthday to YOU” is a very popular song these days for the Recreation Services Department.

Over the past two years the Recreation Services Division has offered a variety of birthday parties to fulfill the overwhelming need for more birthday options in the area. The response to the parties has been phenomenal. We have held over 30 parties during this time and have several more confirmed for the spring. With a max of 20 children at each party, the fun begins with each child receiving a goody bag from the Recreation party directors. The birthday child gladly receives a birthday present and an oversized birthday card from the Recreation Department signed by all of the birthday friends. The birthday card and gift are a great way to preserve the birthday memories. For only $225 the parties include goody bags, two party directors, all equipment, music and of course all the FUN.

Parties are offered on several Saturdays of each month. The party participants can choose from a variety of locations and times so that all participants may have their party in a location and at a time that is convenient for them. Birthday locations are either at Fort Stamford, Break Thru Family Fitness, Zion Lutheran Church or Turn of River Presbyterian Church. A variety of parties are offered for children ages 3-10 years old. We offer the Standard Party (parachute, face painting, crafts and games), the Princess Party (fashion show, crafts and princess story), the Sports Party (two or three of your favorite sports), and the Board Game Party (board game competitions with your favorite board games).

Parties are 1 ½ hours of fun!!! Children participate in parachute games, arts and crafts, sports, princess fashion shows, face painting, board games and more.

Lorraine Masone was our first party two years ago. She loved the experience and all the fun her daughter Kaitlyn and her friends had at the first party and they decided to come back again this year. When asked about the parties, Lorraine said: “I can't begin to tell you how happy we were with the party. Kaitlyn had so much fun last year that when we left she was already planning her birthday party for the following year. When her next birthday got closer I asked her what she wanted to do and she said she wanted to go back with Ms. Dawn! She just loved Ms. Dawn, Recreation Services party staff member. She does a great job entertaining the kids and Lindsey was such a nice addition to the day. She was so sweet and you could tell she loves kids. Face Painting was a huge hit, it put a smile on all the kids’ faces. It was such a nice surprise since we did not have that last year, it made this birthday party different even though it was at the same place. I just can't say enough great things about the Stamford Recreation Birthday Party and the whole experience was perfect from start to finish. There is nothing like seeing a smile on your child's face that glows with pure happiness and you all made that happen. Thank You!”
