The funding grant from the state of Connecticut requires a sliding fee scale. This fee is determined by the family's size and combined gross income. The state believes this is an equitable way to share in the cost and to insure every child the same high standard of program and service.

There are no employment requirements for the parents for the Part Day program (see eligibility guidelines). An enrollment fee is required at the time of registration, and is applied toward the child's account when they begin school. At the time of registration, all of the following documentation is required by CLC:

• Proof of residence (current utility bill i.e., phone, gas, electric--no cable bills please)

• Your child's birth certificate

• Physical exam dated within the last 12 months

• Proof of income for every working adult in the household:

  • if paid weekly, four current, consecutive pay stubs; or

  • if paid bi-weekly, twice a month, or monthly two current, consecutive pay stubs; or

  • if paid in cash, a letter from employer on company letterhead stating gross income and work hours/schedule; or

  • if self-employed, a current tax return

• Proof of all additional income (if any), such as:

  • Child support documentation (copy of check) -- not used in determination of program fees

  • TFA documentation (current budget sheet)

  • Social Security documentation

  • Two local emergency contact numbers, in addition to the child's parent(s)

  • Medical insurance card for your child (if applicable)

  • $50 cash registration fee

• If applicable:

  • Custody Agreement

  • Individualized Education Plan (IEP)

  • Documentation of all food allergies and restrictions
