All School Readiness Programs are required to be accrediteded by the National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC). Accreditation is earned when an early childhood program demonstrates its ability to meet stringent standards of excellence relating to curriculum, environment and the healthy development of children.
The School Readiness Program at William Pitt Child Development Center (195 Hillandale Avenue) was accredited in January 2008 under the revised NAEYC standards. The Program was one of the first in the country to be accredited with the mark of "Quality" under these revised standards. All other relevant CLC programs have received NAEYC accreditation. Sacred Heart School is currently pursuing its NAEYC Accreditation.

In addition to accreditation, all School Readiness Programs must be licensed by the State of Connecticut. Licensing ensures that all facilities meet criteria for child safety.
