Association of Fundraising Professionals – Fairfield County Chapter

Professional association of individuals responsible for generating philanthropic support for a wide variety of nonprofit or charitable organizations. AFP represents more than 26,000 fundraisers in 172 chapters in the United States, Canada, Mexico and China, working to advance philanthropy through advocacy, research, education and certification programs. The Association fosters development and growth of fundraising professionals and promotes high ethical standards in the fundraising profession. The Fairfield County Chapter of AFP represents more than 200 fundraisers, primarily in southwestern CT.

The Center for Capacity Development provides technical assistance, based upon a fee-for-service model, to faith-based organizations and community-based organizations. The Center seeks to increase the organizational capacity and capabilities of faith-based and community based organizations to compete for federal, state, foundation and private grant resources.
