Garbage collection is curbside.

The City will only collect garbage in bags in the City issued Toter bins. Heavy duty plastic bags will also be collected.

Do not mix recyclable material in your garbage.

Garbage crews WILL NOT collect: Construction and demolition items. Latex paint. Car batteries. Items weighting more than 50 pounds. Waste oil. Furniture. Items that are recyclable, hazardous or liquid. Mattresses. Appliances. Yard waste. (But they can be brought to the Transfer Station at 1 Harbor View Drive)

“To Recycle A/C units, refrigerators, humidifiers- Residents can bring the units to 1Harborvew Ave during business hours 7-3 M- F 7-12saturdays, and a $12 Freon removal fee has to be paid”.

Fluorescent light bulbs can be recycled at either Recycling Center.

Para reciclar unidades de aire acondicionado, humidificadores o refrigeradores, residentes pueden traer estos articulos a 1 Harborview Avenue Lunes a Viernes : 7:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m. y Sábados: 7:00 a.m. - 12:00 pm. Se cobra una tarifa de $12.00 para la eliminación del freón.
