City Parks: Rules And Regulations

The following are specifically prohibited or restricted:
- To wantonly damage or remove lawns, trees, shrubs, flowers, benches, bleachers, drinking fountains or any other property or equipment.
- Discard paper, trash, rubbish, glass, crockery, or metal, except in containers provided by the City for such purposes, and no household debris at any time.
- Have an unleashed animal except in a vehicle.
- Peddle or sell goods, merchandise and food without a City License, and Office of Operations Permit (Cashiering & Permitting Division).
- Light fires except in picnic grills or fireplaces placed by the city.
- Hold mass meetings or public assemblies except with a City Permit.
- Serve or consume intoxicating or alcoholic beverages except beer.
- Possess alcohol, including beer, after 9:00 p.m.
- Drive a vehicle at speeds over 15 miles per hour or to park such vehicles except in areas designated for such purposes.
- Use glass bottles or containers of any kind.
- Park in designated areas between Memorial Day and Labor Day without a valid parking sticker.
- Make loud or disturbing noises, including amplified music.
- Wash or repair vehicles in the park.
- Play ball or organized games except in areas plainly designated for such activity.
- Bathe or swim in restricted areas.
- Post signs on trees or other park property.
- Disobey posted signs or warnings.
- Drive or chip golf balls in a park.
- Hunt, trap, or pursue wild life at any time on public park land.
