RECORDS RETENTION UNIT

The mission of the Records Retention Unit is to collect, process and protect all records filed within the Stamford Police Department.  This Unit will maintain accurate and complete records of reported information; and increase public confidence with the Stamford Police Department by providing access to our records in a timely manner, as authorized by law.  The primary focus is to serve the public, law enforcement and criminal justice agencies and to promote the efficiency and effectiveness through improved coordination and cooperation from this division.

Hours To Obtain Police Records:
Monday 8:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
Tuesday 8:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.
Wednesday closed
Thursday 8:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.
Friday 8:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.
Saturday and Sunday closed

Records is closed on Wednesday, Saturday and Sunday

Please call in advance, as hours are subject to change without notice due to staffing constraints. Thank you.

You can now order Accident Reports online. A police case number is required to access this service. Please click the link to be taken to the Docview.us.com website. Then click "Purchase a Report Now" and follow the directions.
