HIV Educational Services

The Stamford Health Department HIV Prevention Services Program offers a variety of free HIV educational services. The goal of these services is to reduce HIV risk and increase the HIV knowledge of persons residing or working in the Greater Stamford community.

Questions and answers related to HIV and appointment for testing.

HIV Street Outreach

Adult & Youth Outreach Workers providing one to one HIV prevention education throughout Stamford community.

HIV Education

Multi-session and one-session information and risk reduction groups available at no cost to community agencies, businesses, schools and religious institutions.
Multi-session groups address skill building, communication and self-esteem issues through participatory group activities.
Content of groups individualized to age of participant and provided for adults and youth.

Health Fairs

HIV prevention exhibit table is available by request and will accompany an HIV prevention staff to local corporate and community health fairs.

HIV Resource Materials

HIV videos available on loan
HIV informational pamphlets available on a range of related topics
Free female and male condoms and dental dams
