"NINA" -- DOG OF THE MONTH – May 2008

Nina’s been through an awful lot for such a young dog. Just three years old, Nina has endured hip surgery (she is fine now) and two adoptive homes before being returned to us in December 2007. Nina is a Whippet mix who has some issues that have been preventing her from finding the perfect home. For one thing, she finds cats just too challenging, so a no cat home would be her ideal situation. And once Nina gets comfortable in her new home, she tends to become protective. For that reason she needs an owner who understands this and is willing to work with her on this issue. Nina needs a strong hand, someone to let her know what her boundaries are. In return, Nina will respect and shower her new owner with love and affection. She is a beautiful brown brindle, a manageable medium sized dog. Nina is spayed, vaccinated and housetrained and is looking forward to starting all over again.
