September 4th: ELECTION 2008 INFORMATION

A lottery to determine ballot placement for Board of Education will be held on Thursday, September 4, 2008 at 10:00 a.m. in the Registrars of Voters Office, 6^th floor.

The deadline to register by mail is Tuesday, October 21^st and to register in person is Tuesday, October 28^th.  All mail in voter registration cards must be postmarked by October 21^st  to be eligible to vote in this election.

Election Day is Tuesday, November 4, 2008.  Polls are open from 6:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.

Absentee ballots are available from the Town Clerk either in person or by calling

January 16th: Petitions available for city and town committee endorsements

January 16th: Absentee ballots available for Presidential Primary from the Town Clerk 977-5280

January 22nd: Voter Enrollment Session Registrars of Voters office 8:30 a.m.--4:30 p.m.

January 30th: Petitions for city and town committee due to Registrars by 4:00 p.m.

January 31st:  Deadline for mail-in New voter registration cards and unaffiliated voters to enroll in a party for the Presidential Primary

February 4th: Last day for new voters or unaffiliated voters to enroll in a party in person by 12:00 noon

February 5th: Presidential Primary 6:00 a.m. -- 8:00 p.m.
