John was raised in the Glenbrook area of Stamford. He attended Stark Elementary School, Dolan Middle School and Stamford High School.

John attended the Whittemore School of Business and Economics at the University of New Hampshire, where in 1994 he received his Bachelors Degree, magna cum laude, with a dual major in Economics and Political Science. John was then admitted to the Washington & Lee University School of Law where he was selected by the faculty as a Burks Scholar and was elected Class President by his peers for the 1996-1997 term.

After receiving his Juris Doctor degree from Washington & Lee in 1997, John served as a law clerk with the Supreme Court of Virginia. During his clerkship, Mr. Louizos worked behind the scenes with the Justices on many issues of state and national significance. Mr. Louizos received recognition from the Chief Justice of the Supreme Court of Virginia in July of 1999 for his years of service to the Court.

Mr. Louizos moved back home in July of 1999 to begin the private practice of law with the Stamford firm of Curtis, Brinckerhoff & Barrett, PC, where he is currently employed. John’s practice concentrates on municipal law, appellate law, real estate, land use, litigation and eminent domain. John has served as assistant counsel to the Town of Darien since joining the firm in 1999.

John is currently a member of the House of Delegates of the Connecticut Bar Association and is a member of the Board of Directors of the Fairfield County Bar Association. John is actively involved in the Stamford community and has served as a coach for the Stamford High School mock trial team, among other involvements. John is married to Stacy Louizos and they live in Shippan with their infant son Zachary James.
