Locations:
- Jefferson Street between Canal Street and Elm Street
- Elm Street between the Railroad Bridge and Wardwell Street
- Canal Street between Railroad Bridge and approximately 200 feet south of the intersection of Jefferson Street
- Elm Court – Entire length
Type of Work:
- Jefferson Street (Canal Street area) – Repair of the damaged section 72” storm sewer across the north side of Jefferson St at the canal. Install temporary sheet piling for the new retaining wall on the northeast corner of the intersection. Pull wires and install signal heads for the traffic signals at the intersection. Continue with utility company work along the railroad side of Jefferson Street.
- Jefferson Street (Meadow to Harborview) – Install fencing, signs and other miscellaneous construction. Continue with utility company work on the north and south sides of Jefferson Street.
- Jefferson Street (Harborview to Magee) – Install storm drainage lines. Pull signal wires; install mast arms and traffic signal equipment at the Jefferson / Harborview Intersection. Continue with utility company work on the north and south sides of Jefferson Street.
- Jefferson Street (Magee to Elm) – Install sanitary sewers down the center of the roadway, install mast arms and traffic signal equipment at the Jefferson / Magee Avenue Intersection, and continue with utility company work.
- Elm Court – Install sanitary sewers and storm drainage lines.
- Elm Street – Install sanitary and storm sewers on the east side of Elm Street from Cherry Street northward, install sanitary sewers on the west side of Elm Street from Jefferson Street southward and continue with utility company work along the entire length.
- Canal Street- Install traffic signals and continue with utility company work.
Traffic Pattern Changes:
- Jefferson Street – Traffic lanes are shifted to accommodate work being performed behind traffic barriers.
- Canal Street – No change in traffic pattern. Traffic lanes may be adjusted, but traffic will be maintained through the area of construction.
- Elm Court – Open to local traffic only
- Elm Street – Traffic lanes are shifted to accommodate work being performed behind traffic barriers.
Traffic Officers will assist with directing traffic as needed. Traffic enforcement will be in effect.
