The best practice program has been established by the Environmental Inspections Division to give recognition to food service establishments who best exemplify the practice of compliance with the Connecticut Public Health Code on sanitation of places dispensing foods or beverages. To be considered for this program the food service establishment must receive at least 3 routine inspections in a one-year period and have a rating of 90 or better with no four-point violations. The establishment must also have less than four risk factor violations. The Director of Health will choose award recipients based upon the overall rating of the food service establishment within the one-year period.
